Crescent Moon (弯弯月亮) Restaurant in Beijing

On our recent visit to Beijing we went to our favorite Xinjiang restaurant, Crescent Moon, tucked away in Dongsiliutiao Hutong. Nothing has changed, everything is still delicious and fresh. The yogurt is creamy, fresh and tasty, the naan is fluffy but still has a charred woody flavor and the Chuan'r is simply the best.

Here's a sampling of what we ate:
Lamb chuan'r skewers
Cucumber and tomato salad
Naan bread
Rice pilaf with lamb
House made Yogurt
and lots of Dark Sinkiang Beer

It was so good everything disappeared rather quickly!
We highly recommend Crescent Moon for its consistently delicious and fresh food and clean environment. Any expat or experienced Beijing visitor knows consistency and cleanliness are hard to find in any restaurant in China!
You may also get a chuckle from the menu as some of the translation of the dish names can be interesting. For non-Chinese speakers the menu is quite easy to figure out as it has pictures, and even if the translation of some things is strange, it's understandable.
If you see the owner, he'll say a friendly hello.
Reservations are recommended for groups and 2 small private rooms that can fit up to 10 people are available.
